How to post in Facebook groups without getting blocked
Facebook almost never tells you why it restricted an account. This guide collects what we have actually seen happen to people posting across dozens of groups - what triggers a restriction, what does not, and what to do differently.
What Facebook is actually looking for
Facebook does not count posts. It looks for a pattern that appears automated - and three things create it more than anything else: identical text repeated, fixed intervals between actions, and posting to places you have no real connection to.
That is why two people who posted to the same twenty groups can get opposite outcomes. What matters is not the volume but how it looks.
The case that explains everything
One of our customers sent exactly the same text - 1,002 characters, including a link in the post body - to 19 groups within 100 minutes, with an identical comment on every post. Facebook restricted the account on post 19.
Notice what happened here: not unusual volume, and nothing against the rules. Perfect repetition. Same text, same pace, same comment. That is the signature, and that is what got caught.
The three fixes, in order of impact
- Word every post differently. Same message, different words. This is the only fix that addresses the most common cause, and it is also the easiest to skip - writing five versions by hand is work most people simply do not do.
- Space your posts out, and not evenly. ⛔ A fixed interval is itself a signature: someone posting every 300 seconds exactly is not a person. Vary the gap, and keep it to at least a few minutes.
- Move the link out of the post body. Facebook suppresses reach for posts that send people off the platform. A link in the first comment gives readers the same access without the penalty.
What does not actually matter
The number of groups on its own is not the trigger. Someone in 40 groups posting across a day looks perfectly normal; the same person posting to 8 groups in three minutes looks suspicious.
Emojis, post length or time of day are not what triggers a restriction. They affect how many people read the post - a different question entirely.
If you are already restricted
- Stop completely for 24 to 48 hours. ⛔ Retrying during a restriction is what turns a temporary limit into a harsher one.
- Do not open a second account. Facebook links accounts by device and browser, and this is the fastest way to turn a restriction into a permanent ban.
- Come back slowly. A few posts on the first day, to groups you are genuinely active in, worded differently for each one.
Doing it manually works too
Everything here can be done without any tool: write a few versions in a notepad, post one every few minutes, and put the link in a comment. It works. It just takes one to two hours a day, and it is the first thing that breaks when you are busy.
POSTEMA does exactly those three things automatically - different wording per group, varied spacing, and the link in the first comment - from your own browser, without ever asking for your Facebook password.
שאלות נפוצות
How many posts a day is safe?
There is no magic number, and anyone quoting one is guessing. What we measured: accounts that space their posts out and vary the wording post to dozens of groups a day without incident, while an account that sent 19 identical posts in 100 minutes was restricted. Pace and repetition decide it, not the count.
Is identical text across groups really risky?
Yes, and it is the most common cause we have seen. Identical text appearing in many places is exactly what Facebook's duplicate-content detection looks for. Rewording - the same message in different words - removes that signal.
Why does a link in the post body hurt?
Facebook favours content that keeps people on the platform and reduces reach for posts that send them away. A link in the first comment gives readers exactly the same access without paying that price in reach.
Does an automation tool increase the risk of being blocked?
It depends entirely on what it does. A tool that posts identical text at a fixed pace creates that signature faster than a human would. A tool that varies the wording and the spacing does the opposite - it enforces the behaviour a busy person forgets to keep.
What do I do if my account is already restricted?
Stop completely for 24 to 48 hours, do not retry in the middle, and do not open another account - Facebook links accounts by device and browser. Then return gradually: a few posts, to groups you are active in, worded differently for each.
