How many Facebook group posts per day is safe?
The honest answer is that there is no single number - but there is a scale, driven mostly by the age of your account and how long you have been posting. The numbers below are the ones our system actually enforces on real accounts.
Why there is no single number
Facebook does not publish a quota, and it does not treat every account the same. A one-month-old account posting 30 times looks unusual; a three-year-old account posting 30 times looks like an active business.
So anyone quoting one number is guessing. What can be given is a scale, and the rules that decide where you sit on it.
The scale by account age
These are the limits we enforce in practice. Each tier has two values: safe - the pace you can hold day after day, and fast - a ceiling you can reach occasionally, not as a routine.
- New account, under a week: 5 safe, 12 fast. Three to five minutes between posts.
- One week to one month: 8 safe, 20 fast. Two to three minutes apart.
- One to three months: 20 safe, 35 fast.
- Three to six months: 35 safe, 55 fast.
- Six months to a year: 55 safe, 80 fast.
- One to two years: 80 safe, 100 fast.
- Established, two years or more: 100 safe, 120 fast. Thirty to forty-five seconds apart.
Age is not everything - there is also a warm-up
Even a five-year-old account should not jump to 100 posts on day one. What Facebook detects is a sudden change in behaviour, so a warm-up runs on top of the scale, starting low and climbing.
In our system: 20 posts on the first active day, plus 3 for every additional active day, until the warm-up reaches the ceiling for your age tier. An established account starting today reaches 100 after roughly a month of continuous activity.
And after a restriction, you step back
If Facebook has already restricted you, the worst thing to do is return to the same pace. In our system the ceiling is cut in half for a week, then climbs again from there.
That is not a punishment but a necessity: an account that received a warning is under tighter scrutiny, and going straight back to full pace is exactly what turns a temporary restriction into a serious one.
Business pages count differently
Posting as a business page carries less risk than posting as a personal profile - a page is an entity built for marketing. In our system it counts as one third of a regular post, with a separate ceiling of 10 per day.
What matters more than the number
- Different wording per group. Forty differently-worded posts are safer than fifteen identical ones.
- Uneven spacing. A uniform gap is a signature in itself, even a long one.
- Groups you are genuinely a member of. Posting to places you joined yesterday reads very differently.
שאלות נפוצות
How many posts per day are allowed in Facebook groups?
Facebook does not publish a quota. From the scale we enforce in practice: an account under a week old - about 5 a day; one to three months - about 20; an established account over two years - about 100. These are numbers you can hold day after day, not a one-off ceiling.
My account is new. How much can I post?
About five posts a day in the first week, with three to five minutes between them. A new account posting 30 times on day one is the most suspicious profile there is, however good the content.
My account is ten years old - can I start at full pace?
No, and this is a common mistake. Facebook detects sudden changes in behaviour, not just age. An established account jumping from zero to 100 posts a day looks like a compromised account. Our warm-up starts at 20 and adds 3 per active day.
Is posting from a business page safer than a personal profile?
Relatively, yes - a page is an entity built for marketing and Facebook treats it accordingly. In our system a page post counts as one third of a regular post, with a separate ceiling of 10 per day.
Facebook restricted me. When can I return to my previous pace?
Not immediately. Stop completely for 24 to 48 hours, then return at roughly half your previous pace for at least a week before climbing back. An account under a warning is watched more closely, and returning to full pace is what turns a temporary restriction into a serious one.
