How to post to many Facebook groups without getting blocked

If you open forty tabs and paste the same text into each one, it is only a matter of time before Facebook stops you. This guide explains exactly what triggers a block, and how to do it properly.

What Facebook actually detects

Facebook does not count how many posts you published. It looks for a pattern that looks mechanical, and three things give it away immediately:

  • Identical time gaps. A post exactly every 45 seconds is not a human being.
  • Completely identical text. The same words in twenty groups is the definition of duplicate content.
  • Volume in bursts. Forty posts in ten minutes, then two days of silence.

Why manual copy and paste fails too

People assume manual equals safe. It does not: if you paste the same text into forty groups back to back, you have created exactly the same pattern - only slower, and at the cost of your own time.

What protects you is not doing it by hand, it is pace and variation.

A safe pace, in numbers

There is no official number, and Facebook keeps changing it. From our experience on real accounts, these are the limits that hold:

  • 2 to 4 minutes between posts, at varying rather than fixed intervals
  • Up to 30 to 40 groups a day on an established account. A new account needs far fewer, raised gradually
  • Never return to the same group more than once every 20 hours
  • Spread across the day, rather than packing everything into a single hour
  • Stop immediately when Facebook starts refusing, and do not retry

Varying the wording - the step most people skip

Two versions of the same message cut the risk more than anything else, and this is the part most people skip because it is tedious.

You do not need to write forty different posts. Changing the opening line, reordering a few sentences, and adding a line that fits the group is enough - and it is no longer identical text.

Groups that require admin approval

In some groups the post does not appear immediately but waits for approval. That is not a failure, and a tool that marks it as an error is misleading you.

What matters: do not post to that group again just because you cannot see the post. A duplicate posting once approval comes through is exactly what gets you removed by the admin.

What to do once you have been blocked

  1. Stop completely. Every further attempt extends the block.
  2. Wait. Posting blocks usually last from 24 hours to a few days, and they lift on their own.
  3. Check the Account Quality screen on Facebook - it tells you whether a restriction is active and when it ends.
  4. Come back at half the pace. An account that has been blocked once is watched more closely.

Frequently asked questions

How many groups can I post to per day?

On an established account, roughly 30 to 40, spread across the day. On a new account far fewer, raised gradually over a period of weeks.

Does posting the same text in several groups count as spam?

Facebook treats identical text appearing in many places as a signal of duplicate content. A few variations of the same message reduce the risk considerably.

How long does a posting block last?

Usually between 24 hours and a few days, depending on the severity and the account history. It lifts on its own, and further attempts only extend it.

Is posting from a phone safer?

No. Facebook detects the pattern, not the device. The same pace from a phone produces the same result.

How do I know the post really went live?

You need to confirm it is in the group, not rely on a window closing. POSTEMA stores a direct link to every published post, so you can check with one click.
